Eligibility + Documents
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS TO ALL PROGRAMS
(Please read all information pertaining to your program or section.)
For all AQ and ABQ courses offered by UOIT's Faculty of Education, candidates are responsible for ensuring they satisfy eligibility prerequisites prior to applying. Please check the OCT Public Register to see your status/qualifications for approved acceptance into an AQ or ABQ program. Only official university transcripts will be accepted.
For example, for admission to Junior Basic, Intermediate Basic you:
:: Must be a member in good standing with the OCT; and
:: Must hold an undergraduate degree acceptable to OCT.
Note: If you hold a letter of evaluation issued by the OCT and the letter does not state that you satisfy the OCT's language proficiency requirement, you must satisfy the language proficiency requirement.
For admission to part one of Cooperative Education, ESL, Special Education you must be a member in good standing with the OCT.
Note: Restrictions may apply if your basic qualifications are in technological studies. Please contact our office if you require more information.
Required Documents/Eligibility Verification
You are required to submit documentation if you hold an OCT issued letter of evaluation. You must:
:: Submit a photocopy of the entire letter of evaluation; and
:: Provide English language proficiency test results, if required, directly to the
UOIT Faculty of Education office.
*With the exception of candidates holding a letter of evaluation, we must be able to obtain your certification records from the OCT's Public Register at http://www.oct.ca/pubreg/search.aspx to verify proof of degrees and/or AQs/ABQs.
