The AQ course Reading - Part 2 provides candidates with the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and understanding of the foundations and underlying vision and philosophy of reading instruction. The course is open to candidates who meet the entry requirements identified in Regulation 184/97. The course extends and reinforces the knowledge and skills from Part I. It is of interest to teachers who wish to deepen their ability to implement effective reading instruction. Candidates have opportunities to reflect, communicate and apply their learning through practical experiences.
Prerequisites:
1. OCT Certificate of Qualification.
2. Successful completion of Reading - Part 1.
3. Proof that the qualification is noted on their Ontario College of Teachers' Certificate of Qualification.
4. Evidence of at least one year of successful teaching experience in Ontario certified by the appropriate supervisory officer or proof of at least one year of successful teaching experience outside Ontario certified by the appropriate supervisory officer by submitting a Certificate of Teaching Experience
