This course is open to candidates who meet the entry requirements identified in Regulation 184/97. Candidates come to the AQ course Physical and Health Education (Intermediate, Senior), Specialist with practical classroom experience. The course extends the knowledge and skills from Part 2 for all teachers in both elementary and secondary schools.
Theory and discussion of important issues culminate in a practical leadership project that will demonstrate the candidate's foundational learning and understanding. Candidates choose a project that will allow them to demonstrate application of their knowledge, skills and understanding for other candidates. They use their knowledge of curriculum documents and student development to demonstrate the development of positive learning experiences. Candidates help motivate students to develop a commitment and a positive attitude towards lifelong healthy active living in order to live satisfying, productive lives. They have opportunities to apply and demonstrate their learning using practical and theoretical experiences.

Prerequisite:
1. OCT Certificate of Qualification.
2. Successful completion of Physical and Health Education - Part 2.
3. Proof that the qualification is noted on their Ontario College of Teachers' Certificate of Qualification.
4. Evidence of at least two years of successful teaching experience in Ontario including at least one school year of experience in Ontario in the subject listed above certified by the appropriate supervisory officer by submitting a Certificate of Teaching Experience
