Online and Hybrid Availability of courses
In the MA* and MEd programs, students take a selection of required core and elective courses to complete a total of 30 credits of work. In the MA* program, students complete a thesis and in the MEd they complete a project or portfolio. For the Graduate Diploma in Education and Digital Technologies, students complete four courses in education and digital technologies for a total of 12 credits.
While some of the program activities may be available in a hybrid (combination of online and face-to-face) fashion, students enrolled in all graduate programs in Education will take the majority of their courses online. This includes a strong component of video conferencing meetings.
It is the intention of the Faculty of Education, UOIT, to make these programs as widely available as possible to anyone meeting the requirements and therefore, in some cases when resources, infrastructure and circumstances permit, it may be possible for some students to participate in the face-to-face component at a distance using videoconferencing technology.
