Jennifer is a licensed Creative Psychotherapist and Counselor here in Durham Region.
She owns a private practice offering a wide variety of programs to various agencies in Durham such as Children's Aid Society, Woman's shelters, addiction centers and community youth programs.
Jennifer started a program titled " The Bully free Zone' in Durham region 5 years ago and now offers workshops to staff and students for the Durham District School Board and Catholic School Board. The workshops are intended to educate school staff on bullying behavior, implementing a bully free policy and reframing programs for behavioral students. Group workshops are held for the students to learn about assertiveness, positive leadership and anger management.
Her area of research is Bullying and abnormal behavior in Adolescents. She is currently in the process of researching and writing a book on Bullying Behaviors for the Adler School of Psychology in Chicago.
Through her private practice she also offers group, family and individual therapy. Jennifer also teaches at Durham College for the School of Justice part-time.
Jennifer received her B.A in Psychology from the University of Waterloo. She then went on and received her diploma in Art Therapy form the Toronto Art Therapy Institute. She finished her M.A in Psychology from the Adler School of Psychology in Chicago where she is currently finishing her PSY.D in Clinical Psychology. Jennifer is certified in Trauma Counseling, Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Play Therapy.
In her spare time she loves going to the cottage, having dinner with friends and relaxing!
