One Year Consecutive Education Program

ONLY to University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) Bachelor of Education applicants who have
completed their education from outside Canada or the United States of America (USA).

D10 Primary/Junior (P/J) or D30 Intermediate/Senior (I/S)
UOIT offers a one-year consecutive Bachelor of Education degree program focusing on teaching in the Intermediate and Senior Divisions (Grades 7 to 12) to students who hold an appropriate undergraduate degree from a recognized university. Graduates of the UOIT Bachelor of Education Program will be qualified to teach in the Intermediate/Senior (I/S) Divisions in Ontario schools.
Teacher candidates are required to take two of the following teachable subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Dramatic Arts, English, General Science, Geography, Health and Physical Education*, History*, Mathematics, Physics, Visual Arts.

The 2010/2011 Intermediate/Senior BEd Program starts on Mid-August 2010.
Note: Enrolment in the program is competitive. Consequently, possession of the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission. Acceptance is based on the number and caliber of applications received in a given year. A tuberculin (TB) test and criminal record check will be required for entry into practica. Any cost associated with the TB test or criminal record check are the responsibility of the applicant.
