Faculty Welcome
Dear Teacher Candidates,
Congratulations on your acceptance into UOIT's BEd Program. The professors and support staff in our Faculty of Education plan to provide you with challenging and memorable experiences as we work to make your time with us as meaningful and rewarding as possible. From the moment you enter your first BEd course here, we consider you to be teachers. You may not yet have the credentials, but you certainly have all of the responsibilities of a teacher such as showing up for class on time and being fully prepared, treating your students and colleagues with courtesy and respect, and devoting a large portion of your heart and mind to this important vocation. So, whether you are creating exciting web-based learning materials for your students or discussing current issues in education with your fellow TCs, we know that the more effort you put into your studies, the better a teacher you will be.
