Students are responsible for maintaining academic honesty, and NOT engage in:
Cheating:
copying someone else's work or allowing your work to be copied, and using unauthorized aids
Plagiarism:
presenting someone else's work as your own
Fraud:
misrepresenting facts to gain an unfair advantage,including altering certificates or graded materials, making fraudulent health claims, and obtaining medical or other certificates under false pretences
Possible penalties for academic misconduct include an F grade in a course and suspension from UOIT.
Students have the right to respond to allegations of academic misconduct.
