BEd or 5th year BSc/BEd Requirements

To be eligible for the BEd degree, students must successfully complete all credit hours, including all courses outlined below. Students must achieve a
culmulative (all courses together) minimum grade point average of
2.70 (B- or 70%) and pass all courses and Field Experience practica to be eligible for promotion in and graduation from the BEd or BSc/BEd degree program. Unless otherwise noted all of the core semester courses are from 9:10am - 4:00 p.m. (arrive on campus 9:00 a.m.) and all electives are 4:10p.m. - 6 p.m. Fridays end around 4:30 p.m. with required, optional and study day agendas.

Electives for P/J and I/S Programs
Each elective is worth 1.5 credits and consists of 18 hours, unless otherwise indicated. Teacher candidates must take one elective and can take up to three electives over the course of the year. Teacher candidates may take no more than 2 electives in one term.
To be eligible for a job in a Catholic school, teacher candidate must take Religious Education Part 1 and Part II.
