Observation Template
The Observations Template
has been
created to help Teacher Candidates organize their observations of their
Associate Teacher and other teachers into eight distinct categories. Each
category is explained in this template so it is clear as to the content. It is
suggested Teacher Candidates use this template or create a similar one so that
Observations are accurately recorded and completed daily.
During each placement observation notes should be maintained for each instructional setting observed (e.g. Fall Placement 1, Fall Placement 2 or Winter Placement). You may wish to either print off these sheets and (cut /paste) into your observation sheets - or cut and paste them from this Word document into your observation sheets (maybe placed near the top for reference). You should date and then in point form make your notes - do this for different teachers you observe too.
Remember: this may be the last time you get to watch a teacher teach ever in your career! These notes will help you next year in setting up your classroom as you'll be quickly reminded of strategies and organization tips from all of your experiences this year.
